A key design feature of many architectural windows and doors is the inclusion of black glazing bars positioned inside the centre of a sealed unit. These elements create more of a design feature for windows & doors. Glazing bars within the glass structure were a necessity for older windows as glass engineering was in its infancy. To create a similar ‘look’ glazing bars are seen as part of the design to mimic that industrial design so often found in warehouses, Bauhaus architecture and loft style apartments.
