The Direct team would like to share with you how we are tackling COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We want to reassure you by explaining the health and safety measures we’re taking to keep everyone safe. 

As you may be aware, manufacturers are permitted to stay open as we are unable to perform our duties from home. All our staff and trades people are given the option to work or stay at home and is completely at their discretion. 

We are following the World Health Organisation’s guidelines and Government’s advice including protocols throughout every aspect of our business. We are committed to ensuring the highest possible health and safety standards in our working environment. 

We have taken additional measures, such as, enforcing 2 metre social distancing, providing hand gel and sanitiser whilst ensuring protective clothing is worn when required. Our sales team, installation team, surveyors, engineers and trades people are all under instruction to follow our guidelines to keep you safe.  

Please do not be offended if our surveyors, installers or engineers enforce social distancing. All surveyors, installers and engineers have been instructed to wear protective gloves or masks, and also have the option to provide customers with protective clothing. No physical paperwork will be openly provided on site at any point. Our preferred method of payment is bacs transfer, cheque, or card payment (via phone), however we can give you gloves to count cash with an envelope to ensure health & safety. On completion of any job our teams are under instruction to sanitise each area they have worked on. We’ve carried out a number of installations recently where customers have sat in the garden enjoying the sun while we transform their home! 

All of our sales team are happy to measure your job from outside and discuss the job at the permitted distance. Alternatively we can arrange a suitable time to video call or phone call to discuss. (a member of our office team will confirm this beforehand).

Front-line staff that have been authorised to visit homes by our company, or who are likely to be within 2 metres of the public, will be required to confirm they have no temperature. We will confirm with you before they arrive at your property that they do not have a fever or any other symptoms of COVID-19.
